Yacht Varnish Titan Yate is high quality based on polyurethane resin and contains UV filters. It is bright, hard wearing and has excellent resistance to harsh weather conditions. Thanks to the excellent flexibility, may be applied to soft and hard wood, internally and externally.

Apart from use as yacht varnish, Titan Yate Varnish is ideal solution for high demanding application such as pergolas, windows and doors, exposed to seaside environment. It is suitable for varnished wood yachts and boats, and other structures in coastal areas or harsh weather conditions.It dries quickly and it is very easy to apply.

DRYING:3 - 4 hours
APPLICATION METHODS: Air Spray-gun, Roller, Brush
Finish:Gloss

The surface has to be sanded, clean, dry and free from salt (wash it). Do not varnish either with direct sunlight or with dew.

Hard wood, teak, iroko, or tropical wood: Thoroughly wash the surface with TITAN YATE Thinner (to remove resin). Thin the first coat with 10% TITAN Synthetics and Grease Thinner or White Spirit. Wait 24 hours to see if there is any resin exudation or delay in the varnish drying. If this is the case, wash again with TITAN YATE Thinner. Sand between coats. Finish with 2 - 3 unthinned coats of TITAN YATE Polyurethane Varnish.

BARE SURFACES: Thin the first coat with 20 - 30% TITAN Synthetics and Grease Thinner. or White Spirit.  Sand between coats. Apply 2 - 3 coats of TITAN YATE Polyurethane Varnish.

MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN GOOD CONDITION:
Sand to matt old but well adhered varnish and apply 2 - 3 unthinned coats of TITAN YATE Polyurethane Varnish.

MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN POOR CONDITION:
Thoroughly remove old varnish in poor condition by sanding, brushing or with TITAN Plus Paint-Stripper until obtaining a wooden surface in good condition. After that, proceed as for non-prepared surfaces.
