Self-polishing antifouling paint. It can be applied directly over the majority of old anti-fouling paint that is in good condition. Ensures smooth surface and smoother ride. Biologically active. Ideal for boats that stay out of the sea during the winter.
Fields of Application
Self-polishing antifouling for submerged surfaces of polyester, wood, steel etc., previously primed. Especially recommended for boats that are usually kept out of water when the sailing season is over. Estimated biological activity: 6 months.
DRYING:1 hour. Immersion (boat-launching): after 12 hours and up to 6 months.
APPLICATION METHODS: Brush and roller
Finish:Matt
Carefully stir the contents in the can. The surfaces have to be clean, dry and salt-free (wash them). In areas of higher wear, such as waterline, keel, rudder, etc., an additional coats is recommended since water turbulence speeds up self-polishing.
BARE SURFACES:
Suitably prime with TITAN YATE Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer and TITAN YATE M-150 Thick Coat Epoxy Primer. Finish with Self-Polishing Lixiviating Antifouling between 12 - 24 hours after the last primer coat.
MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN GOOD CONDITION:
On most old-well-adhered antifouling coats, wash with fresh water jet and directly apply Self-Polishing Lixiviating Antifouling. Do not apply on hard-matrix antifouling coats. In the case of unknown previous antifouling coats, seal with TITAN YATE Aluminium Primer before applying the new antifouling.
MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN POOR CONDITION:
Thoroughly remove previous coats with TITAN YATE Water-Based Antifouling Stripper. Wash with fresh water jet. After that, proceed as for bare surfaces
