A two pack glossy polyurethane enamel. Formula based on aliphatic isocyanate and a polyacrylate with a high cross-linking degree. It has an excellent resistance to weathering and to corrosive atmospheres, both industrial and marine. Moreover, it has an excellent resistance to yellowing, wear, abrasion and impacts. It also has an excellent gloss retention.

Fields of Application:
As a high quality finishing coat both in and outdoors, even in highly aggressive environments. It can be applied on a very large variety of surfaces, such as steel, wood, aluminium, etc. It can be directly applied on glass-fibre reinforced polyester.

DRYING:4 - 5 hours
APPLICATION METHODS: Brush, roller, spray-gun and airless (data quoted are only hints)
Finish:Gloss

GENERAL REMARKS:
Carefully stir the contents in the pack. The surfaces to be painted have to be clean, dry and sound, as well as free from dust, grease and oil. Once obtained the mixture, wait 15 minutes before application in order to help to remove air entrapped in the mixture. During the painting process, overlapping has to be done before 10 minutes.

BARE SURFACES:
Steel, iron, wood:  Prime with 831 Anti-rust Epoxy  or 832 Epoxy.

Non-ferrous metal: Prepare the surface with one coat of 871 Phosphatizing Wash Primer or 831 Anti-rust Epoxy Primer, depending on requirements.

Polyester and Galvanised iron: Degrease with 874 Thinner and directly apply one  or two coats

Other surfaces: Seek advice.

In all cases, finish with 35 - 70 microns of 841 Outdoor Polyurethane. In high or very high agressive environments (C4 or C5 according to ISO INE EN ISO 12944), one or two coats of 832 Epoxy Primer will be required before finishing with 841 Outdoor Polyurethane .

MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN GOOD CONDITION:
If overcoating on well adhered systems, remove grease, oils and dirt (by freshwater jet, solvent etc.) Afterwards let to thoroughly dry and apply one or two coats of 841 Outdoor Polyurethane, depending on requirements.

MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN POOR CONDITION:
For poorly adhered systems and/or showing rust, remove them by sandblasting up to Sa 2 ½ grade of the ISO 8501-2 standard or by means of manual or mechanical cleaning, up to ST3 grade of this same standard. Patch with a suitable primer, preferably by brush and apply the required number of coats of 841 Outdoor Polyurethane Enamel.
