Enamel with exceptional resistance to high temperatures of 160-350 ºC. Easy to spread and long lasting.
Fields of Application
For indoor and outdoor use. Special for metallic surface which are to be submitted to high temperatures, such as chimneys, stoves, boilers, heating elements, etc.
DRYING:2 - 4 hours
APPLICATION METHODS: Brush, Immersion and Spray-gun
FINISH:Metallic
GENERAL REMARKS:
Thoroughly stir the contents in the can. The surfaces to be painted have to be clean, dry, degreased and rust-free. To obtain a better finish, application by spray-gun is recommended. The system dry film thickness has to be kept below 30 µ in high temperature working conditions. For coating surfaces with temperatures below 160 ºC outdoors, we recommend TITAN Aluminium Outdoor Enamel.
For indoor decoration, such as heating radiators, we recommend Smooth Finish OXIRON (Silver colour).
When first putting the painted item into operation. This has to be done with a suitable ventilation and at maximum yield. Fume emissions can be noticed, depending on the time elapsed after application, the coat thickness and the temperature reached.
The maximum coating performance is achieved after reaching 250ºC.
The product can get greyish or lose gloss when it is submitted to high temperatures for a long time. However this will not affect its protective performance.
Once dry, TITAN Aluminium Heat-Resistant Enamel can stain when rubbed, in a higher or lower degree.
Once the surface is painted, 24 hours have to elapse before the painted object is submitted to high temperatures.
BARE SURFACES:
Remove any rest of dirt or grease and directly apply on the ferrous surfaces. No primer or second coat is needed.
MAINTENANCE OF PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES IN POOR CONDITION:
Remove the poorly adhered rust or previous coats by using thinner, stripper or mechanical cleaning methods, depending on requirements and proceed as for bare surfaces.
